This time 10 years ago, Carlos, Pedro, Jonathan and I started Entity Solutions. Reaching this fantastic 10 year milestone would not have been possible without the support of all our customers, both individual and organisations. I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to you all.
It is onward and upward for the company as we are planning to develop and implement more practical and helpful services for our customers. We are also striving to continue to be the thought and quality leader in the Professional Engagement Services (Contractor Management) industry. To help us reach these objectives we have already implemented a number of strategies which, when combined with our committed and dedicated people, valued alliance partnerships, practical systems and innovative technology, will see Entity Solutions well positioned to continue its growth.
To date, hardly any research has been conducted into Contractors [referred to as Independent Professionals (IPros) by Entity Solutions], in Australia and around the world. Considering the above, a need has been identified by Entity Solutions: to establish and enhance our understanding of contracting experiences, issues and wellbeing from the IPros’ perspective. The outcome of this research is expected to provide valuable insights to the market and to highlight to organisations, how to best engage and work with this important and growing demographic.
As a result, Entity Solutions and Monash University have joined forces to develop a leading benchmark survey for identifying the trends, issues and attitudes of IPros in Australia. The launch of this IPro Index has been very successful.
Despite the GFC, IPros rated a very positive mean score of 6.7 out of ten on the IPro Index for their attitudes across the five key areas of: lifestyle, wellbeing, commitment to current clients, perceived support from clients, and industry-affecting trends.
The 2009 IPro Index score sets a benchmark for future annual surveys and for ongoing research into the professional contracting workforce.

On another note, it was with great pride that we were once again nominated as the finalist for the Customer Service Institute of Australia Service Excellence Awards for 2009. We look forward to putting our best case forward in the upcoming site inspection.
This capped off a wonderful year of industry recognition for Entity Solutions which also included winning the Service Excellence category of the Australian Business Awards and once again being named in the BRW list of Top 500 Private Companies in Australia.
